I should be thinking about the autumn/winter season right now, but I am still hanging onto the hope of a summer arising out of the dreary gloom. Monochrome was a key spring/summer trend and the colour black is filtering through to the autumn/winter season (albeit minus the white!). So, just enough time to grab a few black and white ethical fashion pieces that will see you through the rest of summer. Enjoy your hols!
1)TUK Houndstooth Flat, $36 - Moo Shoes. 2) Vintage Zebra Dress, 450 kr - Mint & Vintage. 3) Edun Damas Organic Tee, $60, 100% organic, Fair Trade and sweatshop free cotton - Equita. 4) Ecoganik French Terry Bermuda, $75, 100% organic cotton - Couture Candy. 5) Black and White Bag, £9.95, fairly traded from India - Natural Collection. 6) BKMHattitude Not So Plain Jane, $25, linen -Etsy.

hey Eco Dawn,
Thanks for including Edun's Las Damas from Equita Webshop in your "Go mad for monochrome" post. There are more and more options for ethical/eco fashions that don't require a sacrifice in quality and design and we applaud you for spreading the word. I wanted to add in another handbag that fits the bill--design-conscious, high-quality, fair trade and green--and has caught my eye since its release in Ecoist's new collection, The Portfolio in Barcode [http://www.shopequita.com/bhe2065.htm]
Ethical fashion has come on in leaps and bounds. Gone are the associations with hugging trees and dancing with mythical creatures in the woods. Ethical fashion is innovative and creative and you can be a fashionista with an earth conscience. This blog features news, updates and opinions on the ethical fashion world. If you want me to style you, my website is Ecostylist.co.uk.
I am an author, journalist, Reiki practitioner and teacher and web designer. I used to bumble along in life and wonder why everything kept going wrong, until one day I learned Reiki and discovered that my wrong turns in life were squandering my peace of mind and happiness. Reiki helped me connect to my intuition and become my true self. I discovered answers to the myriad of questions about myself and the universe that had persisted throughout my life. I realised that I needed to look within for answers and trust wholeheartedly in my intuition. It can seem hard to traverse through life, but to me our time on earth is but the blink of an eye compared to our overall journey, so be brave folks and trust in what you really know.
